SPPU CGPA to percentage

We have not verified a conversion rule for SPPU.
We have not located a document from the university stating how a CGPA should be converted to a percentage. Other sites publish a figure for this university; we are not able to say where it came from, so we are not repeating it. A number without a source is the problem this site was built to address, and printing one here would make us part of it.
What to do instead
- Look at your own transcript first. The grading scheme is often printed on the reverse, and that is a primary source in your hands.
- Ask the examination cell. Most Indian universities will issue a conversion certificate on request. It is slow, and it is the only answer that settles the matter.
- Meanwhile, use the general rule and label it. CGPA × 9.5 is the common Indian default. Quote it as "76.0% (CGPA 8.0 × 9.5, CBSE convention)" so the reader can see what you did.

A CGPA of 10 gives 95%, not 100%. That is not a rounding error. The 9.5 multiplier was derived from the average marks of past top scorers, which sat at about 95% — so the top grade point maps to 95%. The rule has no way to produce 100%.
This is the arithmetic of the rule you selected. Whether a particular admissions office accepts it is their decision, not ours — quote the rule your university published, with its date.
